Seattle Seahawks kicker Josh Brown has selected the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as his charity of choice. For every completed field goal throughout the season, the following corporate partners: Riverside Ford, Gillis Auto Center, Car Toys, Merit Financial, and Sports Radio KJR will make significant contributions to the CF Foundation.
For Josh, the decision was clear as he lost a friend to cystic fibrosis (CF) and has been touched by the children who are currently battling this genetic disease, which affects approximately 30,000 children and young adults in the United States alone. The “Good For 3” program was created and implemented by Josh’s management firm, RSR Sports Management, and will increase awareness about the program through radio and television public service announcements.
With Brown at the helm, along with the support of the local partners in the program, the closer the mission of the CF Foundation comes to reaching fruition—to assure the development of the means to cure and control cystic fibrosis and to improve the quality of life for those with the disease.
Today, the median age of survival for a person with CF is 35.1 years of age, which is six times higher than it was in 1955, when the CF Foundation was founded. Although a cure grows closer every day, the work is far from over until a cure is found, as the future of those with CF depends upon continued loyalty to ensure that they live long and healthy lives.

The Good For 3 program is a charitable goodwill campaign originated by RSR Sports Management that provides monetary donations for every successful field goal of selected RSR athletes to a charity of the player’s choice. During the 2004 season, Shayne Graham, Place Kicker for the Cincinnati Bengals, participated in a Good For 3 campaign benefitting the Cincinnati FreestoreFoodbank and, more specifically, their Kids Café program.
The program, called “Good For 3 presented by the Cincinnatian Hotel”, was designed for Shayne to donate $200 for every successful field goal during the 2004 NFL season to the FreeStoreFoodbank. In total, Shayne donated $5,400 to the FreestoreFoodbank during the 2004 NFL Season. The Cincinnatian Hotel provided a meal for thirty-six (36) children from the Kids Café at a dinner banquet at the prestigious hotel on January 13, 2005. Shayne attended the dinner and served the children food, as well as signed autographs.
“Not only is Shayne showing his dedication to Cincinnati by helping feed hungry children” sated Jennifer Ebelhar, director of Development at the FreestoreFoodbank, “but he is inspiring these kids and encouraging others by his actions.”
RSR Sports Management look forward to expanding the Good For 3 program with Neil Rackers of the Arizona Cardinals and Josh Brown of the Seattle Seahawks during the 2005 NFL Season. Good For 3 and its accompanying logo is a registered service mark of RSR Sports management.
