"Rob Roche is a man who will continue to work for you until he provides every opportunity for you to succeed. Throughout the process he becomes more than an agent; he becomes part of your family. He cheers you on at games, comes to your wedding and answers the phone to field questions from your wife and father. The decision to have Rob represent me was an easy one and one that I am happy that I made.”
Steve Weatherford, punter for the New Orleans Saints, is a testament to the level of excellence and dedication RSR Sports Management brings to its clients. The path that brought Steve to the Saints was guided by the knowledge and experience of RSR Sports Management. A product of the University of Illinois, Steve set school records for career punting average, 43.5 and the single season record for punting average with 45.4 yards. After the conclusion of his senior season, RSR implemented its plan of action for Steve: he trained at C.E.S. Sports with renowned trainer, Chip Smith, and received expert punting and kickoff training by Bill Renner and Fred Pinciero of 4th Down Sports.
RSR navigated Steve to the New Orleans Saints after the 2006 NFL Draft, negotiating him the highest signing bonus for an undrafted Saints player. As a result of the knowledge and skills Steve received at the hands of RSR Sports, he was the only New Orleans Saints undrafted free agent to make the final 53-man roster. Steve played a spectacular rookie season, leading the Saints in punting and excelling in the N.F.C. Championship game against the Chicago Bears. He also had an amazing individual run against the Philadelphia Eagles in the playoffs for first down deep in his own territory.
Steve is another example of RSR using its formula for success to identify the proper team for a player and provide the perfect training to propel him to achieve his dreams.
